Allegan Community Players are thrilled to have the opportunity to produce the hilarious production, Little Shop of Horrors! Audition dates are May 22nd & 23rd with callbacks May 24th. At Allegan Community Players, we have open auditions, so feel free to walk in from 6 pm to 8 pm, at the Griswold Auditorium. Auditions should take no longer than 15 minutes. As many of you know, this is an adult/teen show. We ask that you understand that we are looking for ages 13 & up. Anyone under the age of 18 auditioning, will need a legal guardian there to sign off forms. Due to copyright and royalties, we as a business, can’t change the language, context, etc. So please do your research on the show before auditioning. Allegan Community Players is back with our “6th Annual One Acts Festival” Auditions are December 19th & 20th from 6pm-8pm at Dawson Elementary School. Please be prepared to read throughout various scripts.
Want to submit your play to the One Acts? This year, the play committee plans on selecting six different plays to be apart of our friendly competition. Keep in mind that your play should be no more than ten minutes, and the easier the set- the better. Once you have written your masterpiece, submit your script to the following email: email@example.com. The deadline to submit your play is December 7th! If your script is chosen, you as the playwright- will receive two complimentary tickets to the show.

The One Acts Festival is a people’s choice contest. That means the audience are the judges. The play that has the highest total dollar amount, wins the contest of bragging writes. This is our fundraising event so the contest winnings are donated to Allegan Community Players next summer musical production.
Auditions for “Steel Magnolias” will be held at the Griswold Auditorium on Tuesday, Sept. 4th; Wednesday, Sept. 5th; and Thursday, Sept. 6th from 6:00 – 8:00 p m.
The director will have you read from the script. We need 6 women ages 18 to 80.

On Saturday July 28th, ACP is holding our annual membership meeting at the Sports Complex. We will begin with a pot luck lunch at noon with the election of board members after.
We’ll also be taking suggestions for next year’s shows.

The Allegan Community Players will be presenting “Anne of Green Gables – The Musical ™
Book by Donald Harron, Music by Norman Campbell, Adapted from the novel by L. M. Montgomery at the Allegan High School Performing Arts Center on Friday and Saturday July 20th & 21st at 7:00 pm and Sunday July 22nd at 2:00 pm. Tickets are $8 in advance and can be purchased at Something Sweet in downtown Allegan or from any cast member. Tickets will also be available at the door for $10. (Cash or check only please)
“Anne of Green Gables – The Musical ™ is the story of Anne Shirley, (Carlie Hancox), an orphan girl who has been passed from home to home, and is finally sent to the farm owned by an elderly Matthew Cuthbert (Rick Moll) and his sister Marilla (Daryl Waggoner). While at first suspicious of Anne, the town of Avonlea grows to love and accept her as one of their own.
